OUR COMPOSTING GUIDE

Are you a first-time composter? Here are some of our tips as well as a guide for what we compost and how you can start!

FOOD WASTE WE COMPOST:
✔ Eggs & eggshells
✔ Fruits & vegetables, peels & pits, nuts & shells
✔ Bread, rice, pasta, dough & baked goods
✔ Dairy including cheese & butter
✔ Spoiled or moldy food (no liquids)
✔ Loose tea, coffee grounds & filters
✔ Anything that is (or was) edible

ADDITIONAL INFO:
✔ Put in a closed container lined with a paper bag, newspaper, leaf mulch, or clean sawdust. Please clean your container regularly.
✔ All plans include up to 8 gallons of compost per pickup. Extra is $1 per gallon if we have room (free if you have trash pickup and have not reached the maximum trash weight of your plan).
✔ Please contact us for special arrangements with large yard waste; $2 per 10 gallons. (leaves, brush, sticks, weeds, small trees, etc.)

Spoke Folks can loan 5g buckets to customers.
